Purpose of the Position
The Finance Assistant will be based in Pangani is expected to assist the head of Operation in the development of financial systems and procedures for IH Tanzania program in line with IH Standard Operating Procedures. Major responsibilities
Controllership:
FA will maintain all financial systems for the IH Country/Field offices, and ensure full compliance with IH financial (SOP’s).

In collaboration with the Head of Admin oversee the protection of the country programme assets (cash, inventory, etc.) through the enforcement of internal control policies and procedures including that fixed asset inventories are updated regularly.
To maintain up-to date knowledge of and implement national government requirements and regulations related to financial matters including statutory deductions from national staff salaries such as income tax, social security, etc
FA will ensure that no unallowable/ineligible costs are charged to any project.

Treasury:
To supervise Field office bank relations and bank account activities including negotiation of fees, interest and currency exchange rates.

Purpose of the position

Assistant Programmatic Management of Drug-resistant TB (PMDT) coordinator will coordinate, support and facilitate the rapid scale-up of quality- assured PMDT services in close collaboration with the NTLP and other technical partners. In addition she/he will assist NTLP in implementation of quality decentralization of PMDT services and introduction, monitoring the implementation of TB new drugs and shorter regimens.

Duties and responsibilities
Assist to coordinate Programmatic Management of Drug resistant TB activities at NTLP and participate in the development of policies, guidelines and M&E tools on programmatic management of MDR TB in the country
Support the introduction and monitoring of implementation of New Drugs and short regimens in the country

Duties and responsibilities

Responsible for the ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of all TB laboratory supplies including reagents, consumables, equipment, spare parts, paper, forms, and any other inventory item(s) related to the operation of the CTRL.
Support utilization of GXAlert data produced from GeneXpert machines countrywide to forecast and quantify GeneXpert cartridges.
Assists the Head of CTRL in developing annual supply and expense budget, staying within the limit established for utilization, and reporting to the Head of CTRL any variations from budget
Acts as a resource person to the TB laboratory staff and clients regarding procurement of supplies in the country

SACIDS ACCOUNTANT (1 POST)
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A SACIDS Accountant will be assisting in taking up daily accounting activities within SACIDS.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist the Financial Management Officer to record, analyze .and report project financial status in consistence with World Bank’s procedural and reporting requirements.
• Assist in maintaining and updating all project accounting records.
• Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports to ensure timely submission as may be required.
• To ensure proper maintenance of receipts and payment vouchers.
• Assist in Preparing ‘ad hoc’ management and financial information and reports, as and when required internally by management officers.
• Maintain project cash balance.
• Undertaking monthly reconciliation between SACIDS Projects Bank accounts and cash book.

Qualifications and Experience:

SACIDS COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Communications Manager is required to’ lead the SACIDS Communication strategy and team within SUA focusing an developing and implementing an active engagement, with the public, pal icy and scientific communities at national, regional and international levels.
FUNCTION OF THE SACIDS COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Under the guidance of the SACIDS-ACE Leader and the SACIDS Executive Director, the immediate supervision of the SACIDS-ACE One Health Epidemiologist cum Programme Manager, the SACIDS Communications Manager will lead the SACIDS Communication team of staff and consultants to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the following duties;

• To write reports, produce and edit audio and video content related to events.
• To liaise with SACIDS members to facilitate and organize academic workshops on interdisciplinary research.
Qualifications and Experience:
• A first degree in either communication disciplines or in a biomedical or related biological science plus a Master’s degree, in. Communication disciplines and a minimum of five years working experience at progressive responsibilities in

• Proven experience in web design and management of a highly interactive website
• Practical experience with usage of social networking applications (Twitter, Facebook, etc).

Job Title: Library Assistant II (1 post)
(a) Qualifications: Holder of a Diploma (NTA 6) in Library and
Information studies or records, archives and information
management from a recognised institution or equivalent
qualification.

(b) Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs more routine and clerical Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Undergoes on the job training on library duties
(ii) Performs library clerical duties
(iii) Registration of readers
(iv) Issuing of books to readers
(v) Receiving books from readers
(vi) handling of simple enquiries from readers,
(vii) bibliographical searching,
(viii) Performs any duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.
(c) Salary Scale: PGSS 4

Job Title: Driver II (1 post)
(a) Qualifications: Holder of Form IV Certificate of Secondary School Education with passes in Kiswahili and English plus Trade Test certificate in motor vehicle maintenance/mechanic at NVTA 1 and a valid Driving License in the relevant class with at least three years continuous driving experience. Must have a certificate of competence in driving from a recognized Driving School.

(b) Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Drives DUCE vehicles skilfully.
(ii) Maintains and keeps up-to-date log-books.
(iii) Adheres to Maintenance Schedules.
(iv) Keeps motor vehicle in good running conditions and reports immediately faults and defects to Transport officer.
(v) Undertakes minor repairs when necessary.
(vi) Ensures that valid documents are obtained prior to commencing any journey.
(vii) Ensures safety and cleanliness of the vehicle at all times.
(viii) Take care of the vehicle assigned to him/her by carrying out standard checks.
(ix) Checks validity of relevant documents such as insurance, TLB, Plying fees and reports the same to the Transport Officer for necessary action.
(x) Performs messenger Duties and Responsibilities such as dispatching documents/letters, collecting mail, photocopying of documents
(ix) Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisors.
(c) Salary Scale: PGSS 2

NOTE:
(i) All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania;
(ii) For Tutorial Assistants positions, applicants should not be above 30 years old;

(vii) Certificates from foreign examination bodies for ordinary and advanced level of secondary education should be certified by the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA);
(viii) Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
(ix) Only shortlisted candidates will be informed on the date of interview.
