Job title: Radiologist

Employer: Aga Khan University Hospital

The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi in conjunction with the Aga Khan Health Service
in Tanzania invites applications for the following positions to be based in Arusha Tanzania .

The Incumbent will be acquiring and interpreting various types of medical images including Radiographs. CT and Ultrasound images to diagnose medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of the patient
• Assessment of patients
• Explaining the procedure to the patient

Reporting and Diagnosis
• Examining internal structures and functions of organ systems
• Preparing written report of observation.
• Communicating diagnosis to patient and/or physician
• Recommending radiology procedures for the benefit of the patient

Administration of the radiology department
• Coordinating the day to day running of the center
• Ensuring medical policies are followed
• Ensuring availability and control of relevant consumable x-ray supplies in the center
• Planning organizing and supervising the provision of quality radiology services
• Dealing with patient complaints
• Perform related duties similar to the above in scope and function as required
• Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• MMed Radiology or equivalent
• Certification and registration from the relevant Medical Practitioners and Dentists regulating body
• Minimum experience of five year post qualification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good MS Office computer skills
• Establish a good and lasting professional relationship with referring doctors
